Mr Donovan is a highly trained and skilled orthopaedic surgeon practicing locally In Geelong. Mr Donovan consults through his private consulting rooms at 44 Swanston St, Geelong and operates at Epworth Geelong, St John of God Geelong and University Hospital Geelong.
After achieving Honours in the Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the world renowned University of Melbourne, Mr Donovan trained both in Victoria and interstate completing specialist training in Orthopaedic Surgery. Mr Donovan then went on the complete further sub-speciality training.
Mr Donovan completed a fellowship Complex Primary and Revision Hip and Knee Replacement Surgery through Monash Health before moving to London to complete further sub-speciality training, with a fellowship in Foot and Ankle Surgery, under the mentorship of world renowned foot and ankle surgeon, Professor James Calder, of the Imperial College London.
Nathan actively pursues opportunities to further develop and improve his surgical skills with active participation in surgical workshops locally and internationally. In the capacity as lower limb and trauma surgeon at UHG, Mr Donovan is actively involved in educating and instructing trainee surgeons, teaching them operative techniques and examination skills, to improve the quality of tomorrow’s surgeons.
Mr Nathan Donovan has completed AMA Fourth Edition Impairment Training and is available for appointments in relation to independent medical examinations, workplace injuries, transport accidents, public liability matters, total permanent disability and medical negligence claims. He is also available for complex case discussion, file review and telemedicine assessments.
